Meet Tracey McGowan

Having practised women’s health internationally Tracey McGowan is dedicated to improving the healthcare experience for women. Tracey graduated with a Bachelors degree in applied science nursing followed by an MBA in Health care management from Edith Cowan University Australia. After moving to Dubai, Tracey cultivated her passion for women’s health by leading a women’s health clinic at Emirates Airline. Her professionalism and talent in the field led to her being awarded the prestigious Emirates Najm award in 2011.

Tracey was then offered a place in the very competitive Nurse Practitioner post masters program at the University of Calgary and graduated as one of the top three students in her program. Whilst in Calgary Tracey has worked at the Women’s Pelvic Floor Clinic and at the new South Health Campus as one of the Nurse Practitioners specialized in Urology. Tracey has presented at conferences and workshops on women’s health issues.

Tracey first uncovered her passion for women’s health after her mother was diagnosed with Breast cancer at the early age of 52. Tracey’s mother never felt comfortable getting regular women’s health checks and so the cancer went unnoticed until it was unfortunately too late. Shortly after her mum passed away, Tracey was determined to make a positive change to women’s health so that women just like her mum would feel more comfortable to attend their regular check ups. Thus, Emily-Rose executive health was born. Named after amazing and influential women in her life, her mum Vivienne Rose and two daughters Kirsty Emily and Dannielle Rose. Tracey founded Emily-Rose Executive health in 2015 to improve the women’s health experience for Calgarian women.
